Probate Valuations & Estate Clearance
It is difficult to obtain accurate advice ahead of probate, and the market price of many cherished items can fluctuate wildly with changes in general taste and style as the years go by.
Our sympathetic and friendly team of experienced specialist valuers have many years of experience in valuations and can offer up to the minute valuations on single items or complete estates. Our valuations comply with the requirement of Section 160 of the Inheritance Tax Act 1984. We do so with no obligation on your part to use any of our other services.
We can however offer a fully integrated Probate service from valuation of goods & chattels through to auction sale of items of value and clearance of the premises ready for sale. We understand that estates are often asset-rich and cash poor and in the majority of cases we simply take our fees from monies raised by the sale of goods and send the balance to the estate. This service is available to executors and also to professionals including solicitors and estate agents.
The advantages of this are that at all times the estate owns the goods: anything we find goes to the estate. This ensures you obtain the maximum value possible at the minimum possible inconvenience.
For more information, please drop us an e-mail or give us a call on 01929-551133 - our Probates & Estate Manager is Calvin Jenkins, but in his absence any of our auctioneers and valuers will be happy to help.
